Mike Bosch served as pitching coach last season for the Orange as well as 2010-12. Syracuse removed the "interim" tag from his title as head coach on Thursday.

Syracuse has named Mike Bosch its head softball coach, SU Athletics announced Thursday. Alisa Goler and Kristyn Sandberg have also been hired as assistant coaches.

Bosch had been serving as the team’s interim head coach since June, when former head coach Leigh Ross resigned. Bosch was an assistant coach under Ross from 2010-12 before leaving the program and returning to the same position prior to last season. He previously served as head coach for Iowa Lakes Community College from 1997-2010, amassing a record of 525-236-2.

The new assistant coaches, Goler and Sandberg, graduated from the University of Georgia in 2011 and 2012, respectively. They both currently play in National Pro Fastpitch, a professional softball league, and are teammates on the Pennsylvania Rebellion.

Goler was the hitting coach at Roosevelt University in 2014 and Sandberg was a graduate manager at Louisiana State for the past three seasons.
