Kayla Treanor, Halle Majorana named 1st-team All-Americans; Kailah Kempney garners 2nd-team honors

Kayla Treanor leads a group of three Syracuse players named as All-Americans by the IWLCA on Monday afternoon.

Syracuse attacks Kayla Treanor and Halle Majorana have been named first-team All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association. Orange attack Kailah Kempney earned second-team honors.

Treanor leads SU with 57 goals and is second on the team with 86 points. She was named a Tewaaraton Award finalist for the second straight year.

Majorana’s 89 points are the most on the team and Kempney is the Orange’s draw specialist, ranking third in the country with 8.09 draw controls per game.

Maryland led all schools with three players named to the first team. Syracuse will face the Terrapins in the final four of the NCAA tournament on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania.
